Cornworthy, Thorpebay

We were approached by a lovely family who wanted to live together, two daughters wanted to return to the family home. The outcome was they wanted a granny annex for Mum to have her independence whilst remaining in the heart of the house. The granny annex needed to be future proofed for the long term so accessibility was a key issue. Along with the annex, we extended their kitchen to provide a generous space for all family members, adding an additional window and roof light to bring light into the house.

The materials were chosen to match the existing house, along with matching windows and detailing, it therefore feels like it could have been built at the same time as the original host dwelling.
